Patient Information

Receiving an ASD diagnosis unfortunately is often a very tedious and long journey. When it comes to Autism, receiving an early diagnosis can make a tremendous difference. ABA therapy can decrease ASD’s effects regardless of your child’s age. Behavior Therapy can help children to Learn, Grow and Thrive.

The first step in the ABA therapy process is the child must be diagnosed by a psychiatrist, psychologist, physician or neurologist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for an insurance company to pay for therapy. Behavior Health must also be a covered benefit under your insurance plan.

We will send the ASD diagnosis report to your insurance company and request prior authorization for an assessment.

Once we receive the insurance authorization, our BCBA will contact the parent to schedule an appointment for the assessment.

We will then submit the assessment to your insurance company and It will take approximately one month to receive the ABA therapy authorization. At this point, we will then schedule therapy sessions with your child.

Thrive Behavioral Consultants is a participating provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Choice, South Carolina Fee for Service Medicaid, and BabyNet.

Cash pay options are also available when a child does not have an ASD diagnosis.
